Last week, NPSP Day made its way back to the windy city for a day of collaboration, skill-building, and problem-solving at OneGoal's brand new office location— centrally located right in Chicago’s loop! We need to give the OneGoal team an EXTRA thank you for letting NPSP Day Chicago be the inaugural event they hosted in their new building. They went above and beyond to make sure this day was fantastic for all involved! With nearly 50 attendees, this was the largest NPSP Day Chicago we have ever seen, including pre-pandemic numbers! We had a healthy mix of nonprofit professionals, Salesforce admin, and consultants, which made for very balanced and informative discussions. It was wonderful to see many NPSP Day first-timers, as well as many folks who had never been to an “unconference” style event, where the agenda is determined by the attendees!

We’re going to keep the energy going strong next month with NPSP Day Seattle and NPSP Fundraising Day (in NYC). While you may be focused on channels like social media, email, direct mail, and texting, have you considered optimizing your website for search engines? Last year, 42% of all nonprofit website traffic was organic, meaning people visited nonprofits’ websites from unpaid search results. To maximize support, your website needs to be discoverable on search engines.

On top of needing to wear many hats, you must also power through periods of high workload and stress, such as the year-end fundraising rush. Without proper support, your employees may experience health issues and even burnout. This, in turn, leads to dissatisfaction, higher absenteeism, and low engagement. Your mission’s growth doesn’t depend solely on donors and volunteers. Employees are a critical piece of the puzzle. Prioritize employee wellness to ensure your organization continues its positive growth and generates the desired results.
